Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, also known as Justice Lalit, took oath as the 49th Chief Justice of India on 18th November 2019. Justice Bobde has served as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court and is the first Chief Justice of India from a Scheduled Caste.
