Dr. Stuart Higgins is a dentist from North Carolina, where he completed his undergraduate and dental school education. He has an extensive background in complex restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as oral surgery and dental implantology. He is up on the latest technology and carries memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, LD Pankey Institute, and Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies.
In addition to being a great dentist, Dr. Higgins is also a board certified anesthesiologist. He is a faculty member at the University of Illinois Hospital Medical Center, Chicago and is the academic director of the Illinois Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a regional and national lecturer in the field of dental anesthesiology.

After nearly 34 years of private practice in the Midcoast, Dr. Philip Higgins will retire this month from his Elm Street location, but will continue to focus on improving the lives of others through his involvement with Penobscot Community Health Center and the University of Maine School of Dental Medicine. He has also served as a dental consultant for residents in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Togus VA in Bangor.

Dr. Gina Johnson-Higgins is a general dentist who believes that every patient should receive the finest care and compassion in a modern and comfortable setting. She is a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
She has also made it her mission to keep her skills and knowledge current by attending several hours of continuing education courses each year. This includes attending a mini-residency at the University of Kentucky to get credentialed as a provider of IV sedation, the most effective form of anxiety reduction available.
She also uses state-of-the-art technology to perform many of the most common dental procedures. These include using the iTero digital scanner to take digital impressions of your teeth, thereby eliminating the need for messy mouth trays.
